Following is the check-in schedule, please make your travel plans accordingly.

Late Arrivals

Students who do not check-in by their arrival date are considered late arrivals. For new students this is August 23rd and for continuing students August 26th. If you need to check-in after your arrival date, please contact us to let us know. For more information regarding late arrivals please see our policies page.

Moving into Your Assignment

Opening day is a busy and exciting time on campus. We encourage you to use the available move-in information to help make your experience as smooth as possible. This helpful information includes maps, traffic flow, parking, and where to get your keys. For New Students arriving on August 22rd, the Orientation schedule will be available in July on the Catholic University App. New Students will receive move-in information from the Residence Life staff with their assigned move-in timeframe. 

Orientation Opening Sessions are assigned by Learning Community Sections. Please use those times as a guide to schedule your arrival to campus. Staggered arrival will help ease traffic flow and make it easier for us to serve you.

Parking Policy

As you plan for your arrival to campus, please note the University Parking Policy. As part of the University’s Master Plan and its commitment to reduce the number of cars on campus, residential freshmen and sophomores are not permitted to purchase parking permits or bring vehicles to campus. If you are a resident freshman or sophomore and would like to request an exception to this University policy, please complete a Vehicle Exception Request. Your request will be reviewed and you will be notified of the outcome. University Procurement Services office has a partnership with Zipcar, a car-sharing service that provides self-serve access to several varieties of cars. With Zipcars parked on campus and in other dedicated parking locations throughout Washington, D.C., members can reserve cars online or by phone and use their personal access card to enter and drive them. Gas, insurance, maintenance, and dedicated parking are all included in Zipcar's hourly and daily rates. Personal memberships are available to University students, alumni, faculty and staff.
