On Campus Housing
Housing Services is pleased to offer graduate and law students on-campus housing options ranging from traditional style residence halls (shared community bathroom and kitchens) to apartment style residence halls (kitchen and living room in the unit). Spaces will be assigned on a first-come, first-served basis. Comprehensive charges for all room types include utilities, cable TV connection and Internet, and laundry. Additional information about each residence hall is available on the Residence Hall webpages. Floor plans are available by request to cua-housing@cua.edu.
Catholic University is primarily an undergraduate residential campus. Graduate/Law students living on-campus should expect to share spaces with the undergraduate students such as community kitchens and lounges, shared community bathrooms, and the laundry rooms. Assignments with roommates or suitemates will primarily be with other graduate/law students.
The residence halls occupancy dates follow the undergraduate academic calendar. The residence halls will generally open for students the Saturday before the first day of undergraduate classes for the Fall and Spring semesters. Students are generally expected to depart campus following the completion of their final exams. We understand that students in the Law School will have an adjusted academic schedule and, upon request from the student, will work on approvals to arrive early and/or stay late.
Catholic University offers on-campus housing for individual students and does not provide family housing in the residence halls. Students are encouraged to review the Off-Campus Housing Resources to find alternative accommodations to meet family needs.
Application Process
Graduate/Law students interested in on-campus housing should submit the Housing Application in MyHousing via Cardinal Students. Students will need their Username and Password to log in to Cardinal Students. The application will be available on March 15 and assignments are offered on a first-come, first-served basis. Should Housing Services continue to receive applications once all the spaces have been filled, a waitlist will be managed through the start of the Fall semester.
Housing Services also offers spring semester only housing options for Graduate/Law students. The Spring Only Housing Application is available beginning September 15 in MyHousing via Cardinal Students. Spring assignments are reviewed after the Thanksgiving holiday and offered on a rolling basis.
