Canceling Your On-Campus Housing for Spring

To properly cancel your on-campus housing for the Spring semester, you should complete the online Housing Cancellation Request. The deadline to submit your Housing Cancellation Request for Study Abroad is November 15th.

  • Your Spring housing assignment will be cancelled.
  • You will not be charged a Housing Cancellation Fee.

Canceling Your On-Campus Housing for Fall

If you have been accepted to study abroad in the Fall semester you should not participate in the Room Selection process to select a Fall assignment. However, if your study abroad plans are undecided, you may decide to participate in Room Selection. If you have a Fall housing assignment and later decide to study abroad, you should complete an online Housing Cancellation Request to cancel your Fall housing. There may be a Housing Cancellation Fee for cancelling your Fall assignment depending on when your cancellation request is submitted.

If your cancellation request is received before you are assigned a space:

  • Your lottery number will be removed from the Room Selection process and you will not be eligible to select a space.
  • You will not be charged a Housing Cancellation Fee.

If your cancellation request is received after you are assigned a space:

  • Your Fall housing assignment will be cancelled.
  • You will be charged a $500 Housing Cancellation Fee.
