Job Description
Primary duties include assisting professional staff members in responding to student concerns including assignments, application processes, and maintenance requests; providing administrative support to the Housing Services Office; answering walk-in and telephone inquires; developing a working knowledge of university and community resources; sorting and delivering departmental mail; maintaining and filing student records; reviewing departmental websites; assisting with annual activities including hall opening and closing and Room Selection; and other duties as assigned.
Skills
Knowledge of the mission of Housing Services, knowledge of CUA policies and procedures, ability to maintain confidentiality (essential to position), typing skills, filing skills, good interpersonal skills, must be dependable, cheerful, and able to work with a diverse population (students, visitors, and administrators).
Experience working in an office setting; knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, Access and Publisher; ability to learn and to follow University procedures and policies; positive interpersonal skills.
Compensation & Hours
Approximately 6-12 hours a week during the academic year, 20-35 during the summer. Normal business hours are from 9:00 am - 5:00 pm Monday through Friday; specific times TBD during business hours based on availability and need. Summer business hours are from 9:00 am - 5:00 pm Monday through Thursday and 9:00 am - noon on Fridays.

- $9.25 per hour
